Lipman Electronic Engineering Ltd. was an Israeli company that developed and sold electronic payment systems and software, including wireless and landline point-of-sale terminals, PIN pads, electronic cash registers, and ATMs. The company's products were sold under the "NURIT" and "Dione" brand names to distributors, payment processors, banks, and credit card companies, who then sold them to retail businesses. Lipman Electronic was incorporated in Israel in 1974 and initially produced electronic products for the defense industry before shifting its focus to the retail industry in 1982. It debuted on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 1993 and was acquired by VeriFone Holdings in 2006.
