WaTech is the innovation center established by Mekorot, Israel's national water company, in 2004. It incubates sustainable water innovation startups and focuses on identifying and implementing advanced water technologies to address challenges in water supply, management, and quality. WaTech collaborates with startups, established companies, research institutes, universities, technological incubators, and investors in both the Israeli and international water sectors. The center also conducts applied research, develops patents as part of Mekorot's intellectual property, and manages databases to enhance the organization's professional knowledge. WaTech funds startups from several programs, including cooperation with Israel Innovation Authority.
