The LIFT is an accelerator program for startups and technological ventures for entrepreneurs in active reserve duty. It was founded to expand the knowledge and connections required for technological ventures, from idea to company founding and initial capital raising. The program is a six-month program guided by experienced mentors in the Israeli hi-tech industry, providing professional support, guidance, and mentoring in starting ventures and advancing them to the target market, while assisting in finding customers, collaborations, and raising initial capital. The accelerator is an initiative of the Small and Medium Business Agency (SMBA) in the Ministry of Economy and Industry, via its executive arm Maof, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense. The program is run across the country under the professional management of the 8200-unit alumni association.
