Teuza is a pioneering fund in the Israeli venture capital industry. The firm invests in a variety of sectors, including medical devices, healthcare, biotechnology, telecommunications, semiconductors, and software. Teuza invests in all stages, from seed to start-up and through later-stage growth. The fund believes in taking a hands-on approach to assisting its portfolio companies, including involvement in the ongoing management through board membership; active participation in setting strategy and tactics; recruitment of key positions; and involvement in funding, budget decisions, and more. The funds policy is to connect its portfolio companies with strategic partners from its broad business network, typically well-known multinational companies that bring added value. Teuzas stock is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Teuza was founded in 1992. The companys largest current shareholder is American entrepreneur Alfred Mann, with a 22% holding. In April 2018, Teuza was chosen to manage a new $27.9 million tech fund sponsored by the Israeli city of Haifa. The new fund will invest in early-stage start-ups willing to commit to establishing their operations in Haifa.
