Stef Wertheimer was an Israeli billionaire industrialist, investor, philanthropist, and politician. He was best known for founding ISCAR Metalworking Company in 1952, which became a world leader in precision carbide metalworking tools and was later acquired by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Wertheimer was also a visionary behind the establishment of several industrial parks in Israel, including Tefen, Tel Hai, Dalton, Lavon, Omer, and Nazareth, with the goal of fostering economic growth, job creation, and coexistence. He served as a member of the Knesset from 1977 to 1981 and was a recipient of the Israel Prize in 1991 for his contributions to society and the state.
