The Spark is a nonprofit accelerator co-founded by the Maalot-Tarshiha municipality in the heart of the Western Galilee. The program aims to spark business development in Northern Israel by providing a comprehensive platform for the development of high-tech business ventures from concept to launch. The Spark program places select entrepreneurs and companies into a community of creativity, productivity, and innovation. Its vision is to create an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and funding that will energize the local industry and help local entrepreneurs overcome geographic obstacles in order to succeed. The program focuses on accelerating between eight and ten early-stage ventures every three months. During this time, the ventures will become part of a new ecosystem comprising the local industry in the Galilee, established mentors, and investors.
