He is currently the Chairman of Eliahu 1959 Ltd., Eliahu Issues Ltd., Migdal Insurance & Financial Holdings Ltd., Mivtach Simon Insurance Agencies Ltd. (a subsidiary of Migdal Insurance & Financial Holdings Ltd.), Shlomo Eliahu Holdings Ltd, and Eliahu Insurance Co. Ltd.. He is also on the board of Migdal Holdings & Management of Insurance Agencies Ltd., Migdal Insurance Co. Ltd., Gan Ha'Ir Project Ltd., and Migdal Insurance Raising Capital Ltd.. He founded a successful underwriting agency in 1959 and established the Eliahu Insurance Company in 1965, which has grown to be one of Israel's leading insurance groups. He has also expanded his investments to include other insurance companies, real estate projects, and significant interests in the banking sector, including major positions in Israel's Bank Leumi and Union Bank. Shlomo Eliahu was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and immigrated to Israel in 1950. He served as a Member of Israel's Parliament from 1978-1981 and as the Chairman of its Finance Committee.
