Established in 2000 as an early-stage venture capital arm of SoftBank Group, SBVA became an independent entity in 2023 after being acquired by The Edgeof. The firm, formerly known as SoftBank Ventures Asia, rebranded to SBVA in February 2024. SBVA manages approximately $2 billion in assets and has invested in over 300 startups globally, with a focus on AI, robotics, IoT, and semiconductor design. They actively support their portfolio companies with capital, strategic guidance, and a global network across Asia, the US, Israel, and the EU.
