Republic Europe is Europe's leading private investing platform that enables individuals to invest in startups, growth companies, and, if eligible, leading funds, as well as supports ambitious entrepreneurs in all sectors to raise capital from their communities, angels and institutional investors. It is the European operation of Republic, an ecosystem of Web3-optimised financial services built upon compliant investment infrastructure to support micro-transactions on a global scale. Republic Europe was formerly known as Seedrs, which was founded in 2012 in London and acquired by US-based Republic in 2022 for approximately $100 million. Seedrs officially rebranded as Republic Europe on July 10, 2024. The platform provides a diverse range of investment opportunities, including equity investments, debt instruments, and tokenized assets. Republic Europe is regulated by both the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) in the UK and the CBI (Central Bank of Ireland).
