Prof. Meir Feder is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at Tel-Aviv University, holding the Information Theory Chair and heading the Tel-Aviv University Center for AI and Data Science. He is an internationally recognized authority in signal processing, communication, information theory, and machine learning. Throughout his career, he has been closely involved with the high-tech industry, co-founding several companies. These include Peach Networks (acquired by Microsoft in 2000), Bandwiz, Amimon (acquired by LON.VTC), and Run:ai (acquired by Nvidia). He is also a recipient of numerous academic awards, including the IEEE Information Theory society best paper award, and was awarded a 2021 Academy Award for Science and Engineering for his work on Amimon's wireless video transmission technology.
