Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers

Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers (PRIM) is an investment management company founded in 2012. It focuses on African infrastructure, deploying equity and quasi-equity into greenfield and brownfield projects and companies within the sector. PRIM's strategic focus spans energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation, and emerging infra-technology, fostering sustainable development. The firm is jointly owned by the PRIM management team, JSE-listed Remgro Limited, and Phuthuma Nhleko. PRIM manages two funds, Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund I (PRIF I) and Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund II (PRIF II). PRIF I closed in 2016 with USD 302 million and is fully committed to 11 investments. PRIF II attracted total commitments of USD 355 million and achieved a final close in November 2024.
