About

Maruho Israel Innovation Fund (MII Fund), was founded by a Japanese-Israeli team of venture and R&D experts jointly with Maruho, a Japanese dermatology company, and the fund's strategic partner. The fund was formed with the vision of integrating Israeli innovation capabilities with Japanese corporate expertise. The fund brings along not only investment but also R&D, expertise, market validation, and the necessary know-how required for advancing products to market. MII invests in dermatology related technologies across stages seed to growth and sectors pharma, biotech, medical device, digital health, and cosmetics. The fund has also created an excellence center for dermatological development, MII Labs , a wholly owned subsidiary of the fund, where experts in dermatology and topical development work use state of the art infrastructure to work with the Funds portfolio companies on their existing as well as next generation technologies. The lab enables MII to seed new companies and to help the portfolio companies in reaching clinical proof of concept.
