Marius Nacht was born in 1962 in Romania. He is one of the fathers of Israeli Hi-Tech, and is currently a Co-founder and anchor investor of aMOON, an Israeli healthcare and life sciences venture capital firm managing over $1B in capital, and one of the biggest venture capital funds operating in Israel today. He is also investing in Cyberstarts, an Israeli VC, which was founded by Gili Raanan, a general partner in Sequioa capital. Prior to this role, Mr. Nacht was the Co-founder of cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies. He has served as Vice Chairman of Check Point's board of directors since 2001. He has also served as one of the company's directors, since its incorporation in 1993. From 1999 through 2005, Mr. Nacht held Senior Vice President roles at Check Point. In May 2020, Mr. Nacht has stepped down from his position as chairman of Check Point. Mr. Nacht earned a B.S. cum laude in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1983 and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Communication Systems from Tel Aviv University in 1989.
