MaofTech Nahariya is an accelerator opened in Nahariya for the benefit of technology entrepreneurs and startups in the Galilee. The accelerator is a product of a collaboration between the Small and Medium Business Agency (SMBA) in the Ministry of Economy and Industry, via its executive arm "Maof", the municipality of Nahariya and Cinnovate, a company specializing in managing accelerators and promoting technological ventures. Entrepreneurs accepted to the accelerator, receive 6 months of hands-on assistance in order to get their startup to be ready for initial capital raising and/or strategic partners. The accelerator focuses on assisting in the market research and competitor research phases, developing customers and business development while creating a business plan and a business model canvas, working on the product, defining the customers/persona, etc. During the program, the entrepreneurs map their initial assumptions - and validate them using various means: from direct encounters with potential customers to the collection and processing of digital intelligence information.
