Lev Leviev is an Israeli businessman, investor, and philanthropist known as the "King of Diamonds." He built a global empire with significant holdings in the diamond industry, real estate, infrastructure development, metals, chemicals, high-tech development, and hotels. He is the founder of the Ohr Avner Foundation, which supports Jewish philanthropic causes and education in Eastern Europe and Israel. Leviev was the chairman and majority shareholder of Africa Israel Investments, a diversified conglomerate, between 1997 and 2018. He is also recognized for breaking the De Beers diamond cartel's monopoly by securing direct deals with diamond-producing countries like Russia and Angola.
