Leon Recanti, born in 1948, is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of the GlenRock Group. He is also a partner and is part of the Chairman Investment Committee in Shavit Capital Fund. Recanti's personal involvement in organizations and diverse causes has earned him a reputation as one of Israel's outstanding community leaders. Prior to founding GlenRock in 2003, he served as Chairman & CEO of IDB Holding Corporation, Chairman of Clal Industries and Investments, and Chairman of Azorim Investment Development and Construction, in addition to several other positions in a variety of operating companies in Israel. Today, Mr. Recanti serves as a Board Member of Aquarius Engines. He has also established and has been involved in various public bodies. For example, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Israel Cancer Association; a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; Chairman of Tel Aviv University's Development Committee and the Israeli Society for the Advancement of the Information Age, and more.Mr. Recanati also established the Tapuah program in Israel, which established 48 centers in disadvantaged areas and Bedouin, Druze and Arab villages where basic computer and internet training is provided.
