Jimmy Iovine is an American entrepreneur, former record executive, recording engineer, and producer. He co-founded Interscope Records in 1990 and, with Dr. Dre, co-founded Beats Electronics in 2006, which was acquired by Apple in 2014. He is also known for his philanthropic efforts in education, co-founding the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy and the Iovine and Young Center. Iovine's career began in the 1970s as a recording engineer, working with artists like John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen, before transitioning into production. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
