About
Jeff Vinik is an American investor and philanthropist. He gained prominence as the manager of Fidelity Investments' Magellan Fund from 1992 to 1996. After leaving Fidelity, he founded Vinik Asset Management, a hedge fund. He is also well-known as the former majority owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL team and for his significant real estate development projects in downtown Tampa, Florida. Vinik has demonstrated an interest in investing in technology and healthcare companies, including Israeli startups.
