Innovation Fund America is a nonprofit organization that provides early-stage funding and education to technology startups, primarily in the Northeast Ohio region. They offer pre-seed funding to companies that have passed the friends and family funding stage but haven't yet received investment from outside firms. The organization aims to help entrepreneurs build successful businesses, create jobs, and support educational opportunities. They have also been involved in initiatives to marshal philanthropic dollars for early-stage funding for high-tech entrepreneurs across the country, modeled after the Innovation Fund founded by Lorain County Community College. Innovation Fund America does not take equity from the startups it funds; instead, startups are expected to give back the awarded amount to the fund to enable future investments.
