Ilan Weis

Ilan Weiss was a 56-year-old resident of Kibbutz Be'eri, Israel, who was killed on October 7, 2023, while defending his kibbutz. He was the deputy commander of the kibbutz defense team and also served as its infrastructure manager, overseeing building, electric, and plumbing for the community. He was known for his versatility, sense of humor, diligence, reliability, responsibility, and willingness to help others. His body was taken hostage by Hamas and later recovered in August 2025.
