He is considered one of the most prominent angel investors in the Israeli high-tech industry. Additionally, Ahouvi is known for his extensive art collection, which is Israel's largest private art collection, and he is involved in the Israeli art community, supporting young artists and sitting on the board of directors of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
