About

Gerard Wertheimer is a French billionaire businessman who, along with his brother Alain, co-owns Chanel, a global luxury brand. He is known for his low public profile and his oversight of Chanel's watch division. The Wertheimer brothers inherited their stake in Chanel from their father, Jacques Wertheimer, who in turn inherited it from his father, Pierre Wertheimer, an early business partner of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. Beyond Chanel, Gerard Wertheimer shares family interests in thoroughbred horse breeding and racing, and also owns vineyards in France. His family office, Mousse Partners, manages their multi-generational wealth and investments.
