Eyal Shekel

Dr. Eyal Shekel is the founder and CEO of Civan Advanced Technologies (also known as Civan Lasers), an Israeli high-tech company based in Jerusalem that develops and manufactures high-power dynamic beam lasers using coherent beam combining. He has a Ph.D. in Physics from New York University and has founded multiple technology ventures, including Al Cielo Ltd., Chiaro Networks, and Nano-Or (acquired by KLA). Civan's lasers are used in industrial applications, and the company was part of the ALTIA Consortium, an initiative by the Israel Innovation Authority to boost the Israeli laser industry. Shekel is also a member of the board of trustees of the Jerusalem College of Technology.
