Eyal Gruner is a serial business entrepreneur and angel investor, investing in early-stage deals. He is currently the Co-founder, main investor & CEO of Cynet, a security platform that protects organizations from breaches by automated discovery and mitigates threat vectors across all attack stages. Prior to his position at Cynet, he has also co-founded and served as the CEO of BUGSEC, a cyber consultancy firm (in which he still serves as a Board Member), and was the co-founder and CEO of Versafe, which has developed identity theft and online fraud prevention applications, and was acquired by F5 Networks in 2013. Mr. Gruner began his career at age 15, when he hacked into his banks ATM, then approached bank management to demonstrate the weaknesses of their system. He parlayed this into a job, working with the Information Security team of Bank Leumi for a year, then spending another year at age 16 working at the former digital rights management and internet security firm Aladdin Knowledge Systems, before founding BugSec in 2005. Mr. Gruner has been recognized in Googles Hall of Fame with a Google Security Reward for identifying and reporting vulnerabilities. In addition, Mr. Gruner also serves as an Insider at YL Ventures and as a Member of CyberStarts VC.
