About

Elscint was an Israeli technology company founded in 1969, specializing in medical imaging solutions such as nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, and X-ray scanners. It was a pioneer in the Israeli high-tech industry, being the first Israeli company to list on NASDAQ. After selling its core medical imaging divisions to GE Healthcare and Philips Medical Systems in 1998, the company established a subsidiary, Elscint BioMedical Ltd., to invest in early-stage biotechnology companies. Elscint was eventually acquired and became a subsidiary of Elbit Medical Imaging in 2005.
