Dov Moran is an Israeli businessman, electrical engineer, inventor, investor, and writer. He is best known as the inventor of the USB memory stick (DiskOnKey) and is considered one of the most prominent Israeli high-tech leaders. Moran founded M-Systems in 1989, a pioneer in the flash data storage market, which was acquired by SanDisk for $1.6 billion in 2006. He also founded Modu, a modular smartphone company whose patents were sold to Google in 2011. Currently, Moran is a Managing Partner at Grove Ventures, an Israeli venture capital firm specializing in early-stage deep tech startups focusing on advanced groundbreaking technologies such as semiconductors, sensors, artificial intelligence, and digital health. He holds over 40 patents and has received numerous industry awards for his contributions to technology and entrepreneurship.
