About

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Israel (CFFI) has been operating since 1967 with the aim of taking care of the well-being of CF patients and helping patients and their families in their daily struggle. Their activities include increasing public awareness of CF disease, early diagnosis of sick babies, improving genetic screening, introducing innovative medicines and treatments into the "health basket" (medical treatment reimbursed by the Israeli government), and providing individual assistance to patients and their families. The CFFI also offers emotional support, assistance in exhausting the rights of families with health funds, social insurance, and the Ministry of Health, and operates six multi-disciplinary CF clinics in various hospitals throughout Israel. The organization was founded by parents of children diagnosed with CF to create a support network.
