About

The Combating Terrorism Technology Startup Challenge (CTTSC3) is a joint initiative of the US Department of Defense (CTTSO), the Israel Ministry of Defense (MAFAT), and the MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel. It identifies and rewards startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators worldwide who are developing next-generation technologies to combat terrorism. The contest offers prizes, sponsored travel to demonstrate in Israel, and extensive exposure to US and Israeli government entities. The challenge is held in Israel due to the country's reputation in the startup ecosystem and its expertise in counter-terrorism and security. The 2018 challenge (CTTSC3) included two tracks: General Technologies and Urban Navigation Technologies. Winners of CTTSC3 included Israeli companies CardioScale and Colugo.
