Alberto Gabizon

Alberto Gabizon is a Professor of Oncology at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a leading scientist and clinician in the field of nanomedicine and cancer therapy. He is recognized as the co-inventor and co-developer of Doxil®, a groundbreaking chemotherapy drug carrier with tumor-targeting properties. He is also the founder, CEO, and Chief Scientist of LipoMedix, an Israeli company focused on developing liposomal drugs, and is involved with LipoCure and Ayana, which are Integra portfolio companies. His research interests include nanoparticle-based drug delivery, nanoplatforms for cancer theranostics, RNA interference and gene delivery, cancer immunotherapy, and biomarkers.
