About
Xenolith Medical adapts proven angioplasty retention and navigation technologies for endourology. The major technological adaptation consists of a mechanical structure implemented as a self-expandable braided mesh with an ultra-high expansion ratio (x25). This high expansion ratio enables insertion of the stone retention device into the ureter as a slender wire, less than 1 millimeter in its outer diameter, with self-expansion in the ureter to a maximum width of 12 millimeters. Advanced wire technologies, such as hydrophilic coating and kink-resistant materials, are used to allow navigation and maneuverability past occluding stones.
