About
Winflex is developingwind turbine technologies based on an inflatable rotor made out of flexible composites. The reduction in weight of the rotor allows for cost reduction, independence from government subsidies, and tax incentives. Winflex has developed a full-scale prototype that supplieselectricity to the electric gridandis erecting two more wind turbine generators. In December 2013, Winflex was awarded a BIRD Energy grant for a joint development program with GE.
