Via Surgical has developed its FasTouch system to provide deployable transfascial suture fixation for hernia repair that is strong and consistent yet also easily and rapidly deployed.
FasTouch has lightweight deployable sutures and provides a comprehensive fixation solution. The fixation strength of the sutures stems from the closed, locked-loop suture concept. In addition, the minimal amount of material in the sutures may reduce foreign body response and chronic pain.
To date, Via Surgical has three FDA clearances, 17 issued patents in the U.S. and worldwide, and 17 additional provisional patents filed in the U.S. Via Surgical’s soft tissue fixation system was voted one of the Top 10 Surgical Solutions by MedTech Outlook Review. The company also received the Seal of Excellence from Horizon 2020, the EU’s research and innovation funding program.
