About

TripleW has developed an industrial process that converts food waste into the building blocks of biodegradable bioplastic, producing higher revenues from food waste treatment than from biogas production, all with minimal impact to the environment.

The company’s process enables its clients to efficiently manufacture bioplastic from a variety of municipal, industrial, and agricultural food-waste streams. In addition, TripleW produces highly pure lactic acid by fermentation, made entirely from renewable carbon, for multiple industrial applications such as food and beverages, personal care, and industrial products such as sanitation and descaling.

TripleW’s technology treats food waste as a third-generation renewable feedstock for the production of pure, polymer-grade lactic acid, a building block of polylactic acid (PLA bioplastic). TripleW also enables the chemical recycling of PLA back into its patented process, further reducing wastage.
