Thermoguard has developed an early warning system for preventing the surge of infectious diseases. The smart thermometer and monitoring system is aimed at stopping the spread of infectious diseases by pinpointing potential areas of outbreak and enabling rapid action at least four days before numbers start to climb. Thermoguard automatically gathers anonymized data on temperature measurements, creating a real-time live map; informing on pockets of fever spikes in an area; and supporting decision makers at the county, state, and national level to implement more accurate solutions to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and other viral outbreaks, without shutting down the entire economy. This critical data enables rapid action, with no need to wait several days for PCR results or rely on voluntary testing. The device includes a dashboard that shows whoever is nominated to carry out monitoring (school principals, city authorities, or health officials) and the extent to which temperature patterns are normal or abnormal in different areas. The sensitivity of the system (the margin at which alerts are generated) can be adjusted.
