The Gifts Project, owned by eBay, is a social ecommerce platform for group gifting whereby customers can share special occasions with their social sphere, letting friends contribute to gifts while shopping at their favorite online store. The white-label solutionenables online retailers, marketplaces, and gift stores to enhance the social aspect of their customers buying experience, which combines social networks and group payment straight to their checkout process. The Gifts Project was developed by Appchee Applications Ltd, which was acquired by eBay in 2011, and its offices have becomeeBay's Israel Innovation Center.
