Tavor has created a simple, durable, and effective solution for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery. Tavor's product, Knee-T-Nol, is an artificial implant and offers a safe and effective off-the-shelf alternative to autografts or allografts. Knee-T-Nol is a ligament prosthesis made from braided, super-elastic nitinol strands. It provides the mechanical strength needed fortension, while also allowing flexion and torsion, the dominant modes of operation for the ACL. The braid is attached at the femoral and tibial ends using standard fixation devices such as cortical buttons, cross pins, screws, or staples.
