Syngenta is a global Swiss agribusiness that produces agrochemicals and seeds. It was formed in 2000 by the merger of Novartis Agribusiness and Zeneca Agrochemicals. In June 2020, ChemChina transferred its entire agricultural business to the Syngenta Group, which now also includes Adama and the agricultural activities of Sinochem in addition to Syngenta. The Syngenta Group is a Chinese company with its management headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
Syngenta is active in Israel through Zeraim Gedera, The company provides the growers with a full solution package of innovative vegetable seeds, world leading CP products by Syngenta and GroNTec service provided by a professional team, targeting optimized fruit production. Zeraim Gedera is also responsible for the sale of Syngenta's products in the Israeli market as part of the solutions offered to local growers. Becoming an integral part of Syngenta has allowed Zeraim Gedera to leverage its broad knowledge base and build on the significant research and development capabilities of Syngenta to improve and strengthen its product portfolio and develop new solutions for growers.
Syngenta is also the parent company of Israeli company ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd.
