Sonarium Medical is developing a high-accuracy tomographic ultrasound detection system for breast cancer. The device automatically scans the entire breast in its natural form with no breast compression, thereby improving patient flow and increasing breast cancer diagnosis. Sonarium Medicals imaging system allows for the early detection of breast cancer and is based on volumetric tomography and a real-time 3D ultrasound system. The system is composed of a transducer coupled with two-dimensional phased-array probes, providing 3D real-time diagnostics and instant procedure guidance. The companys second-generation product will allow for improved biopsy with procedure-guidance capabilities.
