About

SolCold developed a patented nano-technological coating and film that cools everything under the sun. The material uses sunlight and the sky for cooling via Anti-Stokes Fluorescence and is most effective when it is very hot and the sun is strongest.

The technology is now commercially deployed to cool industrial buildings, logistics containers, automotive cabins, and apparel. It is proven to reduce interior temperatures by up to 7°C and cut cooling energy expenses by 30%–40%, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions for global corporations.

Following the success of its initial 2022 pilots with companies like Volkswagen and Hyundai, SolCold has scaled to over 40 active commercial installations globally as of 2026. The company has secured large-scale sales agreements and strategic backing from Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund and Sanyo Trading, transitioning from the lab into a global manufacturing and supply phase.
