Semantic Interfaces (SI) is a natural-language understanding (NLU) company offering an NLU platform createdto comprehend voice commands and queries, even distorted ones. Using its linguistic and semantic model of the domain, SI constructs a plausible transcription. Its NLU engine then invokes third-party automated speech-recognition engines, which convert the transcription into the target application language. Experiments have shown a significant reduction in error rates in the understanding of the user's intention when using Semantic Interfaces' NLU engine.
