PlayArt Labs is a new indie studio that specializes in developing cultural-themed mobile games. We understand that humans are driven to play, and that playing is one of the best ways we can learn. Our mission is to combine the fun of interactive mobile gaming with stimulating cultural content. PlayArt Labs is about creating the best games with the benefit of cultural enrichment, not simply about making learning palatable through games. Our games are meant entertain and stimulate cultural awareness in people across generations and can be played in groups or individually. Our first game, Artistico, is a pioneering puzzle game set in the world of visual art. With Artistico, players get the fun, excitement and challenge of timed gameplay combined with the experience of viewing, touching and interacting with some of the worlds greatest art masterpieces. Players get the experience of restoring and assembling art so they become engaged with art history and inspired by the beauty and unique qualities of each piece.
