About
Paratrek is an Israeli startup that develops innovative programs and technology to enable people with and without physical disabilities to hike and trek together. They offer tailor-made trekking services, organize expeditions in Israel and worldwide, and have developed a special off-road wheelchair called the 'Paratrekker' to navigate challenging terrains. The company also provides workshops focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, and trust, using nature as a platform for personal and social change. Omer Zur, the founder and CEO, was inspired to create Paratrek after his father, who was paralyzed during the Yom Kippur War, was unable to go on a post-army trip. Paratrek aims to integrate people with disabilities into outdoor activities and promote social change.
