Millions of patients with mental illness live trapped in dysfunctional emotional patterns that resist traditional treatments. PTSD is among the most debilitating psychiatric conditions, affecting 13M+ Americans, with 1.7M facing severe, treatment-resistant forms. While medications and therapy aim to manage symptoms, none can directly modulate the circuits where emotional dysfunction lives.
Nuri has developed the first emotion brain-computer interface (eBCI) for psychiatry that detects, decodes, and recalibrates trauma responses at the source. Our implantable platform detects and decodes dysfunctional emotional circuits and delivers real-time, closed-loop neuromodulation through Deep Brain Recoding (DBR). By personalizing protocols to each patient’s neural signature and retraining emotional patterns using native learning mechanisms and adaptive stimulation, we offer a new path for treatment-resistant conditions, beginning with PTSD and expanding across psychiatric indications.
