Negba is a community-based, lay-driven organization that provides after-school educational and social programs for Israeli children and teens aged 6-15 who are at risk. Negba aims to support these children and youth until they reach adulthood, whether through military or national service, university studies, or employment. Founded in 2006 by a group of French Israelis concerned about Israel's youth, Negba means 'southward' and launched its activities in Israel's southern region, continuing to focus significant initiatives in Beersheva. Negba operates after-school Homes for Children and Teen Clubs, offering a warm and disciplined family environment, nutritious hot meals, individualized academic tutoring, and structured social activities. Negba also runs the Hadracha Training Initiative for boarding institutions, Integrated Clubs for Negev Bedouins, and a summer camp for children at-risk, aiming to help children from all backgrounds.
