NanoGhost is an Israeli biotech company that develops a highly selective first-in-class drug delivery platform (Nano-Ghosts/NGs) from the cell membrane of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). These NGs are nanovesicles that retain the MSCs' natural ability to target cancer and sites of inflammation, and can be loaded with various drug types (small molecules, DNA, RNA, peptides, proteins). The technology aims to deliver medicine directly to tumor sites, reducing tumor size and prolonging survival, as demonstrated in preclinical models. The NanoGhost technology was developed by Professor Marcelle Machluf at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. NanoGhost has received six grants from the Israel Innovation Authority.
