The company's technology allows jewelry manufacturing plants to enrich their artwork without additional gold from external sources, thereby reducing the costs involved in the enriching process by as much as 75%. NanoFine's technology is based on thermo-chemical reactions occurring on the surface of gold jewelry. Such reactions activate the surface and cause a migration of gold from the alloy bulk to its surface, enriching the surface with pure gold (while maintaining the original karat) by forming a nanometer-thick gold-rich layer.
