NanoDrops is developing a minimally invasive visual optical correction solution based on the use of superficial laser imprint technology and eye drops. The solution consists of three steps: refractive pattern calculation, optical pattern creation, and the application of NanoDrops. The first two steps are performed by a physician, optometry clinic, or point of care, and the third step is performed independently by the consumer.
The company's solution is a joint development between Professor Zeev Zalevsky of the Alexander Kofkin Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan, Professor Jean Paul Lellouche of the chemistry department at Bar-Ilan University, and Dr. David Smadja, a research associate at Bar-Ilan University's Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials and the head of the Ophthalmology Research Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem.
