About
Moovit is a real-time app for smart public transit. By combining information from public transit operators and authorities with live information from the user community, Moovit offers travelers a real-time picture, including the best route for the journey. Moovit amasses up to 5 billion anonymous data points a day to add to the worlds largest repository of transit data. The data-gathering is aided by Moovits network of more than 625,000 local editors, known as Mooviters. These users help map and maintain local transit information in cities that would otherwise be unserved. In 2017 Moovit introduced a suite of MaaS solutions, powered by AI, covering planning, operations, and optimization with proven value in reducing congestion, growing ridership, and increasing efficiency. Industry leaders such as Microsoft and Uber have partnered with Moovit to power their mobility offerings. Launched in 2011, Moovit now has over 625 million users and is available for free on iOS, Android, and web browsers in more than 3,000 cities across 94 countries and in 45 languages. Moovit was Googles Best Local App in 2016, one of Apples Best Apps of 2017, and a finalist in the Build for Billions category in 2018.
