Milestone Sports offers the MilestonePod, which tracks mileage and other data directly through the users shoes. The device requires no customization or charging, and wirelessly syncs to the wearers smartphone, where the MilestonePod app displays mileage, pace, cadence, stance time, stride length, calories burned, and run history. The MilestonePod also tracks foot strikes, and the mobile app displays the percentage of time users strike with their heel, midfoot, or toe. This feature helps users understand their foot strikes relative to the shoe, as well as how their foot strikes change throughout the course of a run. Milestone has also developed the MilestoneConnect system for retailers. The platform aggregates data that can be leveraged for customer relations.
