Mego Afek specializes in developing and manufacturing medical and aesthetic compression therapy systems for home care, clinics, and hospitals. The company was founded in the mid-1960s, producing pressure gauges at Kibbutz Afek in the North of Israel.
Based on know-how in the area of compression technology, and in cooperation with professor Avigdor Zelikovski, chief of vascular surgery at Beilinson Hospital in central Israel, Mego Afek developed the Lympha Press Line of medical devices for lymphedema treatment. The Lympha Press line has been tested extensively in major teaching hospitals and clinics worldwide, with published medical research.
Mego Afek has developed additional product lines over the years, including a full and extensive line for treating lymphedema and venous insufficiency, systems for treating peripheral arterial disease, and systems for preventing deep vein thrombosis.
In recent years, Mego Afek has also developed a line of aesthetic solutions and therapeutic techniques based on its medical technology that provide muscular fast recovery and rehab for sports enthusiasts.
